Petrāah (we, our, us), operated by Pawsitive Petcare Pvt Ltd (Bengaluru, India), is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and applicable Indian laws. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your digital personal data when you visit petrāah.com and use our services.

Under the DPDP Act, we are a Data Fiduciary and you are a Data Principal. By using our website and providing your personal data, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

We do not collect any personal data beyond what is listed above. We process your data only for the purposes stated and will seek fresh consent if the purpose changes.

2. Consent & Withdrawal

By entering your email on our waitlist form or submitting a partnership inquiry, you provide explicit consent for us to process your data for the stated purposes. You may withdraw your consent at any time by:

Upon withdrawal, we will cease processing your personal data and delete it within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing done prior to withdrawal.

3. Data Storage, Security & Retention

Your data is stored on Supabase (database) and processed through Vercel (hosting) and SendGrid (email notifications). These services use encryption at rest and in transit with industry-standard security measures.

Retention period: We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or until you withdraw consent, or until launch + 12 months whichever comes first. After this period, your data will be securely deleted.

We implement reasonable security safeguards including encryption, access controls, and secure authentication to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss of your personal data.

4. Cross-Border Data Transfer

Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside India through our service providers:

These transfers are made in compliance with applicable laws. We do not transfer data to any country restricted by the Central Government of India under the DPDP Act.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data. We share data only with the service providers listed above (as Data Processors acting on our behalf) and with legal authorities if required by Indian law or court order.

7. Childrens Data

In accordance with the DPDP Act, we define children as individuals below 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verifiable parental or guardian consent. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it promptly.

8. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected Data Principals as required under the DPDP Act, 2023. We will take immediate steps to contain the breach and mitigate any harm.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to waitlist members via email. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and rules made thereunder. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
